When I think about branding, Apple, Samsung, Nike, BMW are some of the major players that come to mind. What makes these companies special is their branding is synonymous, as well as defines, a specific range of high quality, technically advanced products. For example, when you see any branding for BMW, such as their iconic logo, you envision a luxury vehicle, with a high performance motor and premium accessories, as opposed to seeing any media coverage of Miley Cyrus which results in you imagining a terrible apparition of a wrecking ball and reliving some tongue acrobatics that make you want to delete any old episodes of Hannah Montana, in case your kids ever find them!

It’s also worthwhile to do some research into the colours you choose for your branding, as colour theory has been recognised to have an impact on your marketing.

Step 2 BECOME AN AUTHORITY IN YOUR FIELD OR INDUSTRY

It’s vital that your target market understands that you are a leading authority in your field or industry to grow your brand. By offering  your target market free advice, providing helpful tips, and letting them know that you are an expert, through your online content marketing and interaction, you can achieve this. Share articles via social media or your website. Make yourself sought after by your target market, then with branding alone, they’ll already be sold!

Step 3 HAVE A FACEBOOK GROUP

Become a leader in your field or industry by running your own Facebook group. Lead forums and introduce current and relevant topics that interest your target market. A tip with forums, make sure you do the research and find out what the trending topics are, rather than just dive in head first with a random topic!

Step 4 CREATE YOUR OWN YOUTUBE CHANNEL

Another way to develop your branding is to create YouTube videos using a company channel that you set up. In your YouTube videos, offer valuable tips and step-by-step tutorials relating to your field or industry, focused on what interests your target market.
